In this sense, José Alberto Lora, Country Manager EF Colombia indicated that “with the opening of these new headquarters, we hope to support Colombians so that they can have the best experience of cultural and language exchange abroad. We believe that every student who travels with EF and returns to the country contributes to our development as a society.”

EF’s new offices in Barranquilla and Cali are in addition to the existing offices in Bogotá and Medellín in Colombia and will allow children, young people, professionals and pensioners to plan their personalized internationalization and language learning experience.

EF has language programs focused on the needs of each person according to their age, profession or particular interest. Likewise, the educational experience in the destination is complemented by cultural activities that allow students to immerse yourself, interact and learn the language in other scenarios outside of academia such as wine tastings, outings to museums, among others.

“Colombia is a country with enormous growth potential in terms of improving the level of English. Our commitment to Barranquilla and Cali reflects our commitment to offer quality exchange programs that allow Colombians to learn languages efficiently and effectively in our own EF schools,” added Lora.

The venues will have the support of teachers who will provide guidance to people to choose the best destination according to the language they want to learn (English, French, Japanese, German or other).  In addition, the EF team will visit schools and universities in each city to raise awareness among students about the importance of speaking different languages and building an international profile for their future.

According to Lora, “learning languages not only expands our communication skills, but also opens doors to new cultures, experiences, and opportunities. In an increasingly interconnected world, mastering multiple languages is an invaluable asset that enriches both our personal and professional lives, allowing us to connect with people from different parts of the world and access a wider range of professional opportunities.”

The locations are open to the public at Calle 84 # 58 – 47, CC Plaza 59, Local 9, 2nd floor (Barranquilla) and Calle 18 # 105 – 153, Bio Mall Shopping Center, premises 12 and 13 (Cali).

With more than 2,000 Colombian students traveling annually to EF destinations around the world, the company’s education method is differentiated by providing a personalized and immersive experience with its own schools in each of the 50 destinations. In addition to this, EF has its Learning

Guarantee, which certifies that the student will advance one level of English every six weeks if they attend all their classes and complete all assigned tasks. This methodology ensures maximum progress; Otherwise, the course will be free until the student achieves it.

Finally, for those who want to know their level of English, EF offers the EF  Standard English Test (EF SET) for free, which measures reading and listening skills. EFSET has been used around the world by thousands of schools, businesses, and governments for large-scale testing.
