Scottish customer experience outsourcing firm Ascensos announced on Thursday that it is opening a new base of operations in the Caribbean country of Trinidad and Tobago, in part to better serve its North American customers.
Ascensos currently employs over 3,000 employees and since launching in 2013, the outsourcer has expanded internationally with a network of offices across the UK, Eastern Europe, and South Africa.
Launching in June, the new facilities in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago will hire at least 100, with the goal of growing to 300 positions within its first three years.
“Trinidad and Tobago is the perfect location for our nearshore Americas base, opening up new markets for our business while enabling us to strengthen our support for our North American clients and their customers. Trinidad and Tobago’s infrastructure, the friendliness of its people, quality of life and direct links to the USA and Canada are all very impressive. The time-zone also enables us to deliver round-the-clock customer service for our UK and European partners,” said CEO and Co-Founder John Devlin.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to further expand our global footprint by creating a significant number of high-quality, digital jobs in Trinidad and Tobago. We’re looking forward to building on new business opportunities in this part of the world while continuing to provide the world-class customer service we’re known for to our existing network of clients.”
